ASSIST #14 Advisory Board Information

The purpose of the Southwestern Illinois Law Enforcement Commission is: To improve and strengthen local law enforcement; to encourage research and development directed toward new and improved methods for the prevention and reduction of crime and the detection and apprehension of criminals; and to provide in-service training to law enforcement personnel as well as other practitioners in the administration of justice and public safety in the seven county region of Bond, Clinton, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, St. Clair & Washington Counties.

MTU #14 is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable, not-for-profit corporation, as well a unit of local government, due to its funding sources.
