This one day, 8-hour program has been designed by veteran IPMBA-certified instructors, each with more than a decade of experience instructing state certified police bike patrol training and IPMBA conference instruction across the country. This course will provide students with the techniques and skills necessary to transition from conventional bicycle patrol skills to e-bike patrol skills in order to safely perform duties and maintain the safety and security of citizens and property. Student officers will learn to use their departments’ specific e-bike to refresh and re-learn skills they previously learned on conventional bicycles.
The goals of this program are to enhance the bicycle handling skills of the student and provide a basic understanding of the tactics, maneuvers, philosophies, and legalities associated with the use of the e-bicycle in law enforcement patrol situations.
To attend, you must have had prior training and experience with the conventional (non-motorized) police mountain bicycle. Thus, students enrolled in this program must have completed the 32 Hour Basic Police Cyclist Training class.
