This course offers a comprehensive overview of hands-on techniques for the development, enhancement, processing and collection of latent prints. Participants will experiment on many different types of substrates using their department-issued fingerprinting equipment.

Lecture time in this program will be minimized so that time spent on practical exercises can be maximized, thus allowing students to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience that can be immediately applied. The workshop will show personnel how to get the most use out their department-issued equipment while processing latent print impression evidence on a large assortment of surfaces.

Students MUST BRING the following equipment to class: Department-Issued Camera w/ Macro Lens, Instructional Manual for the camera, Tripod, Electronic Flash, Sync Cord, Cable Release, Memory Card, Flashlight, any Latent Print Equipment currently used by their department for processing.
