This course will provide law enforcement officers with the necessary information to understand video technology, extract video properly from DVR/NVR systems, using forensic image/video tools, compare and contrasting video/images, and getting video evidence stored properly and into court. This class will combine classroom lecture and practical exercises with multiple DVR and NVR systems.

Understand how the human eye interprets visual stimuli.
Understanding how cameras record visual images.
Documenting and analyzing various types of DVR/NVR systems.
Proper extraction of video evidence using the recommended tools and formats.
Proper use of Facial/LPR/vehicle recognition technology.
Using forensic video and image software.

Getting video evidence admitted into court.
Using various DVR/NVRs in class to quickly and properly extract video evidence.
