 The Illinois Law Enforcement Training & Standards Board (ILETSB) has established mandated training requirements for Illinois Peace Officers. Such training equates to 30 hours within a three-year period. Calibre Press, with over 40 years of state-of-the-art, up-to-date research training has created a specifically designed 16-hour course that specifically addresses most of the subject matters required by the ILETSB. The required subjects addressed in our two-day course include, but are not limited to, the following: 6 hours of instruction on Use of Force techniques including the use of De-Escalation techniques, 6 hours of training focused on traffic stops, the law concerning stops & searches, laws regulating the Use of Force under the 4th Amendment of the US Constitution, the Graham Standard, LE Policies & Procedures, Safety Techniques & Considerations, Time, Distance, Communication, Acute Stress, Tactics & Techniques for Patrol Officers, Approach to people, vehicles, & buildings.
