IDOT has two award programs; the Speed Enforcement award and the Seat Belt Enforcement award. Both programs started on October 1st 2006 and are one-time awards for any officer who has written 1000 seat belt or 1000 speeding tickets since that date.
Along with the two pins you see above, the eligible officers will receive a paperweight with the appropriate award logo in a Lucite block, a certificate of achievement and a letter of appreciation from I.D.O.T.
